ASHLAND – Ruth Helen (Hobbs) Pope, 96 of Ashland former longtime resident of Marlboro passed away Thursday November 18, 2021.  

Born in Medford, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Florence (Hanway) Littlewood. 

She was the wife of Frederick Hobbs who died in 1985 and later wife of the late Albert Pope who died in 2000.

Ruth worked as a branch manager for BayBank in Sudbury, retiring in the late 1980’s. 

Ruth enjoyed playing golf and was a former member of Nashawtuc Country Club in Concord.

Mrs. Pope is survived by four children; Frederick Hobbs Jr and his wife Karen Straw, Audrey LaCroix and her husband Joseph, Theodore Hobbs and his wife Lorraine, and Kimberly Sullivan, eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two nieces, and two nephews.

Services are private.
