FRAMINGHAM – Janet M. (Miller) Strine, age 85, died, Thursday, September 30, 2021.

Born in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth R. and Jeanette E. (MacNaught) Miller.

She was the loving wife to Robert P. Strine IV of Framingham for 61 years.

Janet graduated from Amherst Central High School, Amherst NY in 1954 and received her bachelor’s degree from Cortland State University, Cortland NY in 1958.

Janet was the co-owner of Jonathan House Children’s Center in Framingham for 35 years, also working part time at Macy’s and Jordan Marsh.

She was an active parishioner of St Andrew’s Episcopal Church for many decades, member of the Altar Guild for many years and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

In her free time, she loved spending time with family, traveling, gardening, butterflies, camping and puzzles. 

Besides her husband Robert, she is survived by sons, Robert P. Strine V and Gary E. Strine; grandchildren, Paulina Strine, Robert P. Strine VI, Angela Norton and her husband Robert, Samantha Strine and Brandon Strine; great grandchildren, Everly and Leo Norton. Also survived by sister Carolyn Tocha and her husband Larry of Littlevalley, NY and former daughter in law, Mary M. Strine.

Mother of the late Philip S. Strine who died in 2005.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend her memorial service at the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech Street in Framingham on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 11 a.m.

Burial will take place on a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Janet’s memory can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Alzheimer’s Association
