FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham High girls cross-country team is still seeking its first win of the season. The Flyers are now 0-5 this season.

The Flyers hosted their final home meet yesterday at Farm Pond Park against Brookline and Braintree high schools.

The girls team lost the tri-meet to both teams.

Brookline won both meets having the first five girls across the finish line.

Brookline freshman Anna Goldmuntz won thge meet in 21.56 minutes. Her Warrior teammate sophomore Audrey Seeger was second in 21.59 minutes. Brookline sophomore Dasha LaFaivre was third in 22.02, with junior Lancia Carson in third in 22:03 minutes. Warrior sophomore Adair Bluman was fifth in 22:07 minutes for the 5K.

Braintree’s first runner across the finish line was sixth overall. Wamp junior Grace Baldwin’s time was 23.15 minutes.

“Gracious in defeat to both Brookline and Braintree,” said Flyers cross-country coach Ed Crowley. “The Flyers, anchored by senior captain Emma Rothwell, assured their best point spread of the season! This improving Flyers squad loves to work and is always up for a challenge!”

Rothwell finished 15th overall at 24:06 minutes and first for the Flyers.

Junior Chloe Mills was 17th overall and second for Framingham in 24:21 minutes.

Freshman Briahanna Diaz was 18th overall and third for the Flyers in 24:43 minutes.

Framingham’s next meet is Wednesday, September 29, at Wompatuck State Park against Wellesley High and host Weymouth High.
