FRAMINGHAM – The Keefe Technical football team lost its home opener at Bowditch Filed Thursday night, September 16.

Minuteman Tech won 16-8.

The Broncos are now 0-2 this season.

The Broncos almost scored on the opening kick-off with junior Jasmany Jimenez, but he was stop a few yard short of the end zone.

Keefe Tech scored with about five and half minutes left in the first quarter, when Jorge Nieves ran for a touchdown. They opted for the 2-point conversion and it was 8-0 Broncos.

Minuteman tied up the game with about 2 minutes left in the half.

At halftime it was an 8-8 tie, and the third quarter ended with the same score.

With less than 4 and half minutes left in the game, the Minuteman scored and took a 16-8 lead.

“The game was tight,” said head coach Chris Bonneau. “Unfortunately we lost 16-8 but there were a lot of positives that came out of the game. Our players on offense and defense are coming together and becoming one team.  We just need to clean up the penalties.”

Some highlights from the loss include:

Jimenez had the 75-yard kickoff return and 45 yards rushing in the game.

Sam Delaney had a 25-yeard kickoff return and 30 yards rushing in the game.

Andrew Boudreau rushed for 30 yards.

Nieves scored a touchdowna nd rushed for 30 yeards.

Wood-Mylove Joseph had 45 yards rushinga 2-point conversion, 2 sacks and an interception.
