FRAMINGHAM – With a new coach, and an actual fall season, Framingham High will begin its football season on Friday, August 20

The fall football season was cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Framingham High played a shortened 5-game season in spring 2021.

Head Coach Ed Mantie resigned this summer to become the head coach at Boston College High School.

Athletic Director Paul Spear named Rob Ferrante the 2021 head football coach on July 14.

All grades 9-12 will meet at the Framingham High gym on Friday, August 20 at 2 p.m.

All players must be registered to play. Registration can be done online at www.flyersthletics.com

There are no tryouts for freshmen. All will make the team.

Coaches will select players for junior varsity and varsity.

There will be practice on Saturday, August 21.

There will be practices the following week August 23-27

School starts Wednesday, September 1.
