FRAMINGHAM – Union carpenters in Framingham and their union, Carpenters Local
336 and the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters, have endorsed Charlie
Sisitsky for Mayor of Framingham, calling him a strong voice for working people who has
an eye on creating jobs and strengthening our local economy.

Sisitsky and the Carpenters both believe Framingham should be a leader in re-building our vocational schools and creating apprenticeship opportunities which lead to good strong jobs and careers for our young people. We need to ensure that economic growth is an engine for community development and change which builds the lives of Framingham’s middle class.

“Our decision to support Charlie Sisitsky came very easily. For years, he has been a tireless champion for revitalizing the City of Framingham and promoting the sort of economic growth that has a positive impact on all of our residents’ lives, business and community partners alike,” said Rick Anketell, Business Representative for Carpenters Local 336.

“I am honored to receive the support of Framingham carpenters, Local 336 and the North
Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters. Dealing with the labor challenges we face
today requires solidarity, planning, and the will to fight for what is right. My vision for Framingham’s future is of a vibrant community that attracts innovative new businesses and makes the long overdue, critical investments we need in infrastructure and education. Union labor will play a central role in making it a reality,” said Sistisky.

The preliminary election will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, and the general
city election will be held on Tuesday, November 2.
