HOPKINTON – Enter Stage Left Theater presents “Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka Jr,” following enigmatic candy manufacturer Willy Wonka as he stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. Whomever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy. Four of the five winning children are insufferable brats, but the fifth is a likeable young lad
named Charlie Bucket, who takes the tour in the company of his equally amiable grandfather. The children must learn to follow Mr. Wonka’s rules in the factory — or suffer the consequences.
Directed by Alyssa Rae Surrette, with music direction by Eric Balboni. This Enter Stage Left Theater production features a cast of local elementary and middle school students.
Performances will take place outdoors at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts amphitheater, 98 Hayden Rowe Street, Hopkinton. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and snacks and enjoy the show!
Friday, August 20 at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, August 21at 3 p.m.. Tickets are $15 and $12 for students and seniors, and may be purchased at the door or online at HopArtsCenter.org.
