FRAMINGHAM – Police arrested a Framingham woman yesterday afternoon, and charged her with assault & battery on a police officer.

Arrested at 3:28 p.m. on July 19, at 418 Concord Street was Stephanie Tavares, 23, of 10 Bethany Road of Framingham.

She was charged with assault & battery on a police officers and disturbing the peace.

“Tavares was asked to leave the residence and refused to do so, even when officers arrived on scene,” said Lt. Rachel Mickens.

“She at one point struck an officer in the arm and was placed under arrest,” said the police spokesperson.

Tavares was also arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Worcester District Court.
