FRAMINGHAM – The flood warning issued yesterday during Tropical Storm Elsa for the Sudbury River in Saxonville continues today and into Sunday, July 11, announced the National Weather Service out of Boston this morning.

At 4 a.m. Saturday, July 10, the river was at 10.5 feet. Flood stage is 10 feet.

Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecasted through the weekend.

At 9:15 p.m. Friday the river hit at 10.5 feet, and then exceeded 11 feet. The river has crested and is expected to gradually recede on Saturday,

It will then fall below flood stage late tonight, July 10, said the National Weather Service.

Flooding will affect portions of Shore and Pelham Island Roads as well as River Road in Wayland. Flooding will also begin to impact Route 20 at Route 27. Other low lying areas along the river will experience flooding, according to the federal agency.
