NATICK – Richard D. Evers, 79, a lifelong resident of Natick, passed away Friday July 2, 2021.

He was the son of the late Herman L. Evers and Dorothea L. (Carter) Evers.  Brother of the late Grace D. Brogan, Norman H. Evers, Robert Evers, Hazel H. Grugan, Harold W. Evers, and Harriet A. Bastien. Hank is survived by many nieces and nephews in which he loved making wonderful memories with.

He spent his entire life in the house he was born in and was proud to call Natick his home. He occasionally enjoyed 3 dogs all around at Casey’s and loved solving all of Natick’s problems with the boys over coffee at Dunks.

Hank worked for many years at Nick’s Rug Company, followed by NEPSCO in Natick. He then retired as an assembler for Back Saver Chairs in Holliston.

He was also a member of the Massachusetts National Guard assigned in Framingham. 

During retirement, he enjoyed spending time with friends and family and had a passion for collecting trains and model classic cars. He was a simple man who lead a simple life and always put family first. He will be truly missed.

Visiting in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street in Natick on Thursday July 8, 2021 from noon to 1 p.m., with a funeral service at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Dell Park Cemetery in Natick.
