FRAMINGHAM – Lillian Rose Petersen passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, June 18, 2021.  She was 79 years old.

She grew up in Boylston, daughter of the late Clarence and Rose Wright.

Lillian is survived by her husband of 44 years, Eric Petersen of Amherst, New Hampshire; daughter, Shelli Harding and husband, Richard of Milford; son, Ronald Brigham of Webster; stepson, Douglas Petersen and wife, Denise of North Yarmouth, Maine; granddaughter, Shauna Anthony and husband, Silas of Beverly; granddaughter, Jaime Parchesky and husband, Anthony of Marlboro; grandson Bryce Brigham of Worcester; step grandson Jeremy Petersen of North Yarmouth, Maine; step grandson Ryan Petersen and wife, Brenna, and step great granddaughter, Everly of Cumberland, Maine; sister, Barbara and husband, Dr. Neil MacKenzie of Osterville, Cape Cod; sister, Arlene Wheeler and husband, David of Boylston; brother, Lawrence Wright and wife, Kathy of Humble Texas and several nieces and nephews.

Lillian, a former cheerleader and student council member at South High School in Worcester began her professional career at an airline school. But she placed her plans of becoming a flight attendant on hold due to the birth of her daughter and son.

Afterwards she focused her career path in banking, with a very successful career as a Mortgage Banking Officer for Lion Funding Corporation located in Waltham and Westboro. In her later years she especially enjoyed her job as a school bus driver in New Hampshire, pouring love on her kids, retiring when her health started to fail.

Lillian’s hands were rarely still; everything she touched turned into a beautiful work of art. She knitted, crocheted, wrote in calligraphy. But her most loved hobby was painting.  We will be enjoying her amazing artwork for years to come.

In the face of suffering, Lillian never wavered in her faith. She looked forward to her eternal destination with great joy. Although we will miss her, we rejoice that she is in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Northbridge and Salmon Hospice for taking such loving care of Lillian.
