NATICK – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Francis Ryder, 62, previously of Natick on June 15, 2021 peacefully in his sleep.

Paul is survived by his two children, Shannon and Kyle, and their mother Stephanie Ryder, his mother Anne Defazio, his sisters; Cheri Murphy and her husband William, Kimmy Kelley and her husband Michael, and Bobbie Jo McDermott and her husband David; brother Scott Ryder and his wife Nanci; his many nieces and nephews; the rest of his family and friends and his loving companion, his dog Dakota.

Paul was born in Iceland on April 19, 1959.

Paul spent most of his career in the food and beverage industry and ended his career as a National Marketing Director for a large beverage distributor.

He enjoyed sports and was very much involved in Millis recreational sports. He especially loved to watch and coach youth baseball with his son and was a diehard basketball fan watching his daughter Shannon come up through the Millis school system. Paul loved large family gatherings where he could spend time with his entire family to make the many memories we have created over the years.

Visiting hours will be held Monday June 21 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main Street in Ashland, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.

In Lieu of flowers, donations to New England Donor Services in Paul’s name are appreciated.
