FRAMINGHAM – Doreen V. (Carey) Nelson, age 67, died, Thursday, March 4, 2021.
Born in Marlborough, she was the daughter of the late George Edward and Floretta Louise (Volouix) Carey.
Doreen was born on May 27,1953 in Northboro.
After Graduating from high school Doreen continued her education in Nursing becoming a licensed registered nurse in the state of Massachusetts. Doreen then accepted a position at Bethany Health Care in Framingham and worked there until the Day she retired.
Doreen enjoyed traveling, spending time with friends and family; as well as reading a good book on the shores of Ogunquit Maine and making Meat Pies every Christmas’s. Doreen would bring sunshine to every rainy day there was with her personality, kindness, laugh and most of all her love. She will be missed but never forgotten by many.
Doreen is survived by her Brother Jamie Carey, three Neices, A nephew and five great neices and 3 great nephews, and lifelong friends. She is proceeded by her sister Ann Marie Carey, and three other brothers Ronland Carey, Arthur Carey, and Russel Carey
Funeral services will be private and are entrusted to the Norton Funeral Home, Framingham..
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation in her memory to be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 209 West Central Street, Suite 220, Natick, MA 01760.
