FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham License Commission unanimously approved new hours for a Framingham liquor store tonight, February 22.

Arushi, Inc., doing business as Nobscot Wine and Spirits, at 847 Edgell Road, had requested a change of hours for its all-alcohol package store license.

Milan Patel wanted to reduce his hours on Thursdays from 10 p.m. to 9 p.m. and to increase his hours on Sundays.

License Commission Chair Adam Barnosky called it a “relatively minor change to the operation.”

The change does not increase the number of hours the package store is open, juts changes the hours on Thursdays and Sundays.

During the pandemic, Patel said his business is not as busy on Thursday nights, and 9 p.m. is better than the current 10 p.m.

The new Sunday hours are now 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The Commission voted 5-0 for the hours change.
