NATICK – George R. Butler, 71, of Natick formerly of Newton passed away on December 20, 2020. 

Beloved husband of Irene (Hodgdon) Butler.  Devoted father of Daniel Butler and his wife Pina of Milford, Thomas Butler of Natick and Georgia (Butler) Mulgrew and her husband Daniel of Framingham.  Loving grandfather of Brady, Joseph, Matthew and James.  Brother of Joseph Butler and his wife Marcia of Needham, Marjorie Bevere of Billerica, Grace Murray of Watertown, Marylou Leger and her husband Arthur of Billerica, and the late Roy Butler of Waltham and Ernest Butler of Brockton.  Brother-in-law of Marcia Butler of Brockton.  Son of the late Joseph B. and Mary R. (Pitts) Butler.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

George was a late member of the AMVETS Post 79 Natick and Army Veteran Vietnam.

George was an avid sports fan and loved the New England Patriots. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson with his wife of 47 years.  He was the life of a party and enjoyed cooking. He was always working on his home and in his yard where he shared so many great memories with his family and friends.

Visiting in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street in natick on Wednesday December 23 from 8:30-9:30 a.m.

Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church 44 East Central Street (Rt. 135) Natick at 10 a.m..  Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. 

Interment St. Patrick Cemetery in Natick.
