FRAMINGHAM – One aspect of the Community Preservation Act (CPA) allows a community to acquire, create, preserve, rehabilitate and/or restore land for recreational purposes. This is a significant opportunity for Framingham to leverage state funds to upgrade and provide new recreational facilities throughout the City to accommodate our growing needs.
For many years, Framingham residents have expressed interest in better outdoor recreational opportunities for the entire community including additional fields for sports teams, downtown parks and playgrounds, as well as expanded walking and biking trails. Adopting the CPA will enable the City to upgrade existing facilities as well as providing new recreational opportunities.
I urge you to join me in voting yes on Question 3.
