MARLBOROUGH – The City of Marlborough remains a high-risk community for the coronavirus.
Today, September 30, the City announced 15 new positive COVID-19 cases since Monday.
There have been 28 new COVID-19 cases this week.
The City is reporting a total of 1,223 cases, since the pandemic began.

Marlborough became one of the Commonwealth’s high-risk communities in the state last Wednesday.
The City of Marlborough rate increased from 9.9 on Monday to 10.4 today.
The State considers a community high risk if there are more than 8 new cases per day per 100,000 people over a 2 week period.
There have been 69 deaths.
The good news is that 1,104 individuals have recovered from the virus.
The City has 50 active cases.
The state announced Marlborough was one of the hardest hit communities for the virus and free testing would be made available for all residents, earlier this summer. The City is part of the state’s Stop the Spread campaign, which means free testing is available for all residents.
