BOSTON – The Boston Area Research Initiative (BARI) will host panel discussion on “What Cities and Towns Need Now” on July 31.

Among the panelists are Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, Framingham Mayor Yvonne Spicer, Lawrence Mayor Dan Rivera, and Danvers Town Manager Steve Bartha.

The webinar called the “keynote closing panel” is hosted by Northeastern University’s School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs and BARI, which is an interuniversity partnership based at Northeastern University that convenes researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and community leaders to envision and shape the future of cities and towns across the region.

The hour-long panel which starts at 3:30 p.m. will be moderated by Sid Espinosa, Director of Philanthropy and Civic Engagement at Microsoft and the former Mayor of Palo Alto, California.

This panel will be the 14th and final one in a series BARI haas held during the COVID-19 pandemic.
