FRAMINGHAM – Today, July 8, the City of Framingham announced four residents have tested positive for COVID-19.

The City also announced another COVID-19 death, for a total of 118 since the pandemic began.

There have been a total of 1,744 coronavirus cases in the City of Framingham in 2020.

The good news is 1,516 individuals have recovered.

In addition to the active cases, the Framingham Health Department currently is following 77 residents in quarantine.

There are more than 70,000 residents in the City of Framingham.

So roughly, 2.5% of the city tested positive for the virus.

The City announced last month instead of daily updates on the coronavirus, it will now only provide updates on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
