Framingham Announces 108th COVID-19 Death

FRAMINGHAM – Today, June 19, the City of Framingham announced its 108th death due to COVID-19 or complications from the virus.

The City reported four new positive coronavirus cases today. Since the pandemic began, there have been a total of 1,709 in the City of Framingham.

Despite the slow down in cases, Framingham is still one of the top 12 communities in the state with coronavirus cases. Framingham ranks 14th in the state for the population.

The good news is 1,394 individuals have recovered.

In addition to the active cases, the Framingham Health Department currently is following 104 residents in quarantine.

There are more than 70,000 residents in the City of Framingham.

So roughly, 2.5% of the city tested positive for the virus.

The City announced this week instead of daily updates on the coronavirus, it will now only provide updates on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
