FRAMINGHAM – The City of Framingham announced 14 new coronavirus cases tonight, Friday, May 29.
The City has reported 28 cases in the last 24 hours. This week, the City surpassed 1,600 coronavirus cases since the pandemic began this year.
Since the pandemic began on March 11 in the City, there have been 1,642 positive COVID-19 cases.

Framingham is one of the top 12 communities in the state with coronavirus cases. Framingham ranks 14th in the state for the population.
The good news is 910 individuals have recovered.
The City of Framingham reported one fatality today from a nursing home.
In total, there have been 92 deaths due to COVID-19 or complications from the virus in the City since the pandemic began.

In addition to the active cases, the Framingham Health Department currently is following 183 residents in quarantine.
It is unknown how many individuals have been tested for the virus in Framingham.
There are more than 70,000 residents in the City of Framingham.
The City said via its spokesperson it does not have “Framingham-specific information on how many of our residents are being tested. The state receive statewide information from all testing labs on the number of tests conducted each day. We, nor any individual community, receive community-specific information from any testing lab.”
