ASHLAND – Ashland High School Principal Kelley St. Coeur said Ashland High decided on Friday to hold a potential in-person outdoor graduation ceremony on August 2.

” Since we just made the change Friday and we do not know what August will look like we do not have plans yet,” said St. Coeur to the news outlet today, May 25.

“We will still allow students who can not participate in August to walk the stage and get their diplomas next week, which was the timing for our original graduation plan. We will also do a bus parade with seniors on June 7 at 1 p.m.,” she said.

Last week, the state announced that outdoor graduation ceremonies could take place with some restrictions starting July 19.

Attendance for in-person graduations will be limited to immediate family members only and pre-registration will be required.
