MARLBOROUGH – The City of Marlborough reported 21 new coronavirus positive cases on Wednesday, May 20.

That is 104 new cases in the last 6 days.

The 21 news cases represent a 2.64% increase in COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

Marlborough now has a total of 815 positive cases since the pandemic began.

The City of Marlborough is also reporting an additional death for a total of 36 deaths due to COVID-19 or complications from the coronavirus since the pandemic began.

The good news is that 535 individuals have recovered from the virus.

It is unknown how many individuals have been tested in the city of almost 40,000 people.

About 2% of the City’s residents have tested positive for the virus.

Middlesex County has the most positive cases at 19,708.

In comparison, Berkshire County has 500 cases, and Barnstable County on Cape Cod has 1,197 cases.

Framingham has the most cases in MetroWest. Marlborough is second.

The City of Framingham is also among the top 20 communities with coronavirus cases in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The entire State of Maine has a little more 1,600 cases of the virus. and the City of Framingham has just over 1,450 cases.
