FRAMINGHAM – The City of Framingham reported another COVID-19 death, on Tuesday, May 19.That is 21 deaths in the last week.

In total, there have been 81 deaths due to COVID-19 or complications from the virus.

“Today’s fatality is connected to a nursing home,’ said the City in a press release.

Today, the City of Framingham reported 9 new cases of the Coronavirus.

Framingham has reported 115 new cases in the last five days.

That brings the total number of positive cases since the pandemic began in the City on March 11 to 1,465. cases.

The good news is 622 individual have recovered.

In addition to the active cases, the Framingham Health Department currently is following 250 residents in quarantine.

It is unknown how many individuals have been tested for the virus in Framingham.

There are more than 70,000 residents in the City of Framingham.

The City said via its spokesperson it does not have “Framingham-specific information on how many of our residents are being tested.  The state receive statewide information from all testing labs on the number of tests conducted each day.  We, nor any individual community, receive community-specific information from any testing lab.”
