FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham School Committee voted 8-0 last night, May 6, to issue partial refunds for those members of the Class of 2020 and 2021, who paid fees to park vehicles at Framingham High.

Students paid $125 per parking space in the upper lot (known as the senior lot) and $75 per parking space in the lower lot (known as the junior lot next to the new fire station on A Street) for the 2019-2020 school year.

As 64 days of the 180 days of the 2019-2020 school year, the high school physically was closed due to the pandemic, it was recommended by administration and approved by the School Committee to issue partial refunds.

Lynch said the refund is just under $11,000 total.

The vote to refund was 8-0, as District 3 School Committee member had to recuse himself as he has twin daughter in the Class of 2020, who paid for a parking fee.
