FRAMINGHAM – Just weeks before school was to start in August of 2019, Principal Jose Duarte announced he was leaving for a principal post in the City of Brockton.

Superintendent Bob Tremblay announced on August 11, 2019, he had appointed his Framingham Assistant Director of Secondary Education for the Framingham Public Schools Kerry Wood to serve as interim principal for Fuller Middle for the 2019-2020 school year.

Tremblay said a search would be conducted to hire a principal in spring 2020 for the 2020-21 school year.

Today, May 7, Tremblay announced he made the decision to appoint Wood as the permanent principal for Fuller Middle School.

“In short order, she was able to establish trust and confidence among students, parents, and staff. As a systems thinker and collaborative problem solver, Kerry makes decisions intentionally and equitably with all students in mind,’ said Tremblay in his announcement this morning.

“Wood’s inclusive leadership style, commitment to the Fuller Turnaround Plan, and detailed involvement in the Fuller Building Project further confirm her ability to lead this school forward,” said Tremblay.
