FRAMINGHAM – The City of Framingham is reporting two additional deaths due to COVID-19 or complications from the virus today, May 1.
This brings the total number of deaths since the pandemic began to 28 in the City of Framingham.
The City is reporting 11 deaths in the last 3 days.
In the last 24 hours, 45 more cases of the coronavirus was detected in the City of Framingham.
With the 45 new cases, the City of Framingham said it has had a total of 883 positive coronavirus cases since the pandemic began.
The City is reporting 198 individuals have recovered from the virus.

On the first day of May Massachusetts Department of Public Health is reporting a total of 2,106 positive cases in the last 24 hours.
Today, the Governor issued an order to require a face covering starting May 6. Click here to read the order.
Since 2020, the state has had 64,311 confirmed positive cases of the coronavirus.
Since the pandemic began, the Commonwealth is now reporting 3,716 deaths.
The Commonwealth reported 154 new deaths in the last 24 hours.

As of today at 4 p.m., the state has tested 289,636 individuals.
The state tested almost 14,000 individuals in the last 24 hours
Last week, the number of COVID-19 cases hospitalized was at 9%.
A good sign it has been at 6% for the last three days.
Another good sign, the number of individuals in ICUs in the state is under 1,000 for the first time in weeks.
Middlesex County has the most positive cases at 14,607.
In comparison Berkshire County has just 444 cases.

The United States now has the post confirmed cases worldwide 1.09 million cases as of 4 p.m. May 1.
Worldwide, there are more than 3.32 million confirmed cases.
The Centers for Disease Control is reporting 62,406 deaths as of noon, May 1.
The U.S. is leading the world in COVID-19 deaths, with more than 18,000 deaths in New York.
