FRAMINGHAM – The City of Framingham is reporting five additional deaths due to COVID-19 or complications from the virus today, April 30.

This brings the total number of deaths since the pandemic began to 26.

The City of Framingham reported 58 new COVID-19 cases today.

With the 58 new cases, the City of Framingham said it has had a total of 838 positive coronavirus cases since the pandemic began.

On the last day of April 2020, Massachusetts Department of Public Health is reporting a total of 1,940 positive cases since the pandemic began.

This week, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker extended the order to keep non-essential businesses closed through May 18.

Since 2020, the state has had 62,205 confirmed positive cases of the coronavirus.

The state is reporting a 3.2% increase in coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours.

Since the pandemic began, the Commonwealth is now reporting 3,563 deaths.

The Commonwealth reported 157 new deaths in the last 24 hours.
