FRAMINGHAM – The Massachusetts Department of Public Health released data on COVID-19 hospitalizations.

About 3,400 individuals have been hospitalized in about 60 hospitals across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Governor Baker has said the numbers are expected to surge between April 10-20.

As of yesterday, Massachusetts had 28,163 positive COVID-19 cases.

At MetroWest Medical Center there are 40 patients (COVID-19 patients suspected and confirmed), with 11 in intensive care units (ICU).

Framingham Union Hospital has more than Leonard More Hospital with 33 hospitalized, and 10 in ICU.

At Marlborough Hospital, part of the UMass Memorial system, there are 13 hospitalized and 6 in ICU.

At Newton-Wellesley Hospital, there are 91 hospitalized and 20 in ICU.

In comparison, Mass General Hospital in Boston has 354 hospitalized and 147 in ICU.
