1  Schools are closed today and through at least April 6.

There are food services available for students, families, and any others in need.

2. The City’s libraries and the Callahan Center are closed.

City of Framingham Mayor Spicer ordered City Hall closed as of today, March 17.

Framingham DPW is on schedule for trash and recycling collection curbside.

3. CITY of FRAMINGHAM meetings.

The Board of Health voted last night unanimously to have all Framingham boards, committees, commissions, except for the City’s legislative branch – City Council – to meet not in person.

  • Framingham City Council is scheduled to meet tonight at 7:15 p.m. in the Memorial Building. (The meeting will air live on the Government Channel)

 According to Mayor’s public schedule, Mayor Yvonne Spicer has no public events.

4. Governor Charlie Baker has ordered no gatherings of more than 25 individuals through April 6.

Baker-Polito administration has also declared that all restaurants, bars, taverns can not open for dine-in service. Take out and delivery service only through April 6.

5. Today is Saint Patrick’s Day.

A group in Framingham is organizing a Shamrock Hunt.

All you have to do is put a Shamrock in your window on March 17th. That’s it! Color it, paint it, cut it out, print it from the printer, whatever. Then, the public can get outside, walk around and see how many Shamrocks we can find! It’s easy. No human contact. Get fresh air. Just put a shamrock in your window.
