FRAMINGHAM – As part of Governor Charlie Baker’s declared emergency and growing need to protect public health and prepare City staff and systems to maintain essential functions, Mayor Yvonne M. Spicer announced tonight, at 6:50 p.m. that she is closing public access to Framingham City Hall and Public Works’ facilities effective Tuesday, March 17.

Previously, the City announced that its public schools, Libraries,
Callahan Center and Loring Arena were also closed.

Members of the public seeking City Hall assistance, please contact (by phone or email) departments with requests. Any request that can be fulfilled online or by email shall be fulfilled in that manner.

Services essential to public health and safety – like police and fire responses and trash collection will continue as normal, said the press release.

The city will continue to monitor the situation and reevaluate the closures regularly, said the press release.
