HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Golden Bears got on the board first in the third inning when Ben Harrison hit his first of two homers on the day to take a 3-0 lead. The Rams answered in the bottom of the 4th with an RBI bases loaded walk from Anthony Herman  but two ground outs ended the threat.

The visitors added to their lead in the sixth when they big fly struck the Rams again. Vincent Caccavale hit a grand slam followed by a Harrison solo shot. The Rams answered again with a Robert Johnston RBI single, but the Golden Bears put the game away with four more in the 7th.

The Rams rallied in the 8th with a Bobby Higgins (Barnstable) RBI walk and two-run single by Andrew Curtis (Dracut.) to reach the final margin.

Josh Jezouit (Williamstown) was hit with the loss for the Rams giving up three runs (two earned) over three innings striking out five.

Clay Tucker earned his first win of the year giving up one hit and striking out five over three innings of work.
