BOSON _ The Framingham High girls indoor track & field team lost to the Raiders of Wellesley High on Thursday, December 22 at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston.

Wellesley defeated Framingham 87-12.

Framingham is now 0-2 on the season, under head coach Ed Crowley.

“Riddled with sickness, health, and inexperience; the Flyers ran into the Wellesley wall,” said Coach Crowley.

But there were a few highlights.

First, Abby Desmarais won the 55-meter dash and set a new Framingham High School record.

“It was an uphill battle all evening, but our biggest props go to our 1000-meter runners grinding regardless of who was in their heat,” said Coach Crowley of freshman Sydney Palma , sophomore Leisel Krohne, and freshman Belle Ceruti.

Junior captain Ella “Terranova posted her consistent effort in the 600 (a trait we wish we could clone) to go along with a competitive leg in 4 X400 which might end up being our best relay event,” said Coach Crowley.

Framingham Flyer Evelyn Poku finished third in the 300-meter race in 47.45 minutes, to earn a team point.
