FRAMINGHAM – The MetroWest Health Foundation announced the award of over $568,000 in grants to area organizations. Based on the recommendations of the foundation’s Grant Panels and Distribution Committee, the Board of Trustees has approved the award of 21 grants to MetroWest health and human service organizations. Included in this round of funding are grants to support the emotional health of children and youth, address community public health needs, and address needs identified by community organizations.
Organizations receiving grants are as follows:
Emotional Health of Children & Youth –
Boys & Girls Club of MetroWest $90,000
To support the SMART Girls in Action Initiative.
Hopedale Public Schools $48,934
To support a Multi-Tiered System of Support counseling program
MetroWest YMCA $50,000
To support trauma-informed teen programming.
Community Public Health Interventions –

To conduct a COVID booster vaccine outreach and education campaign.

Challenge grant directed to staffing the MetroWest Food Collaborative.
