MetroWest Health Foundation Awards $568,000 to Local Organizations

FRAMINGHAM – The MetroWest Health Foundation announced the award of over $568,000 in grants to area organizations. Based on the recommendations of the foundation’s Grant Panels and Distribution Committee, the Board of Trustees has approved the award of 21 grants to MetroWest health and human service organizations. Included in this round of funding are grants to support the emotional health of children and youth, address community public health needs, and address needs identified by community organizations.

Organizations receiving grants are as follows:
Emotional Health of Children & Youth –
Boys & Girls Club of MetroWest $90,000
To support the SMART Girls in Action Initiative.

Hopedale Public Schools $48,934
To support a Multi-Tiered System of Support counseling program

MetroWest YMCA $50,000
To support trauma-informed teen programming.
Community Public Health Interventions –


Health Care for All $30,000
To conduct a COVID booster vaccine outreach and education campaign.

Hudson Health Department $15,000
Challenge grant directed to staffing the MetroWest Food Collaborative.

MetroWest Legal Services $50,000
To assist residents with MassHealth renewals and redeterminations.
Responsive Grants


Jewish Family Service of Metrowest $20,000
To add a case worker to the Framingham Public Schools Welcome Center.

Metro Community Development Corporation $20,000
To support a social work position.

MetroWest Free Medical Program $14,200
To equip clinical space in Marlborough.

Milford Public Schools $19,300
To support the emotional health of new immigrant students.


Natick Service Council $15,000
To support staffing in the food pantry.

Natick Service Council $4,750
To support development activities.

Needham Community Council $10,000
To provide medical transportation for older adults.

Needham Health & Human Services Department $4,000
To support the supervision and training of clinical staff.


Open Table, Inc. $7,000
To support food distribution in Hudson.

Town of Natick $20,000
To provide rail trail access for people with disabilities.

A Place to Turn
To support the food pantry. $25,000

MetroWest Free Medical Program $100,000
To support Basic Health Needs – Primary Care.

Natick Service Council, Inc. $25,000
To support the food pantry.


The MetroWest Health Foundation is a catalyst for a healthy MetroWest, providing more than $5 million in annual financial support for preventative and responsive health programs. Through its work on issues such as adolescent health, public health and health equity, the foundation seeks to develop and support
programs that have a positive impact on the health of the twenty-five communities in the MetroWest region of Massachusetts.
