FRAMINGHAM – Joyce R. (Conniff) McMillan, 93, a longtime resident of Framingham, died on Thursday, October 6, 2022 after a period of declining health.

Born and raised in Buffalo, New York, she was the daughter of the late Harry J. & Catherine (Casper) Conniff, and the beloved wife of the late Alexander McMillan for almost 68 years.

Joyce was a graduate of Deaconess Nursing School in Buffalo and worked in several doctor’s offices as she and Alexander raised their family. In 1972, they settled in Framingham.

Joyce worked for several years at the Kathleen Daniels Nursing Home in Framingham, and went on to work at St. Patrick’s Manor in Framingham until her retirement. Both she and Alexander continued to volunteer at St. Pat’s for many years.

Joyce was the Co- President of the Fairs and Squares with her husband Al in Framingham. She loved the ocean, lighthouses, and particularly enjoyed trips to Ocean Point maine.

More than anything, Joyce loved her family. Her children, Rev. Nancy McMillan of Marlborough, Michael McMillan & his wife Leslie of NC, and Stephen & his wife Mary of Ashland, and her grandchildren, Alex, James and Kayla.

Family and friends will honor and remember Joyce’s life by celebrating her funeral mass on Saturday morning, October 22nd in St. George Church, 74 School St. Saxonville at 10 o’clock. Interment will follow in Edgell Grove Cemetery.
