FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham High girls cross-country hosted Walpole High on a beautiful fall day at Farm Pond Park today, October 6

Framingham’s Sasha Lamakina won the race in 21.33 minutes, but the Flyers lost to the Timberwolves 22-36.

“The skeleton crew of 5 varsity runners, some missing due to illness, did suffer another defeat, but can be assured that they are still gaining plenty of momentum as a team by posting their season’s best score,” said head coach Ed Crowley.

Sophomore Marieme Ngom was third for the Flyers in 24.56 minutes.

Sophomore Liesel Krohne was fourth for Framingham, with junior Hailey Hohenstein fifth across the finish line for Framingham.

Coach Crowley said the team needs some rest and more training in preparing for a dual meet against Milton as well as the Twilight invitational at the Barnstable fairgrounds.
