NATICK – Barbara LaRoche, 88, was reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband Bob on September 2, 2022, where they now live together in Eternal Peace.

She was surrounded by her six children holding her hands and telling her how much they love her, thanking her for being their amazing mother, telling her that they will be ok and guiding her Home with the comfort knowing that Mom was passing to Heaven to be with Dad.

Barbara is survived by her son Bob and his wife Charlene, of Edgartown; daughters, Donna LaRoche and her partner Bill Soares, of Falmouth, Susan Gardner and her husband John, of Franklin, Linda VanBaars and her husband John, of Yarmouthport, Jeanne Bunker and her husband John, of Centerville, and Jennifer LaRoche and her husband Bob Pessin, of Natick.

Barbara was affectionally called Nana Babs by her eight loving grandchildren, Kristin, Elisa, and Bobby LaRoche; Mike and David Gardner; Ali Fraher, Kyle, and Steven Bunker.  Nana Babs loved children and was especially delighted to have become a great grandmother this past January with the birth of Liam Fraher.

Barbara graduated from Brighton High School and attended Massachusetts General Hospital School of Nursing earning her R.N. degree.

Upon graduation she worked as a nurse before the birth of her children. Barbara loved caring for her patients and their families and was an exceptional nurse.

Years later, after the early passing of her beloved husband, Barbara attended Boston University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. She worked for many years as a nurse for the Natick Visiting Nurses Association and was frequently told by patients, families, and colleagues that her nursing made an extraordinary difference in their lives.

Barbara lived her life with kindness and goodness, strength and wisdom, positivity, and graciousness. Her deep love and devotion to her family, friends and patients was a blessing to all. Barbara had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh. She was a lover of books and art, the seashore and sunshine, Talbot’s clothing and fashion and Hershey chocolate bars.

Barbara will be missed every day by her devoted family and friends. May her memory be a blessing.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, September 8, 2022, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Everett Funeral Home, 4 Park Street in Natick. Per family wishes, face masks are required.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick Parish, 44 East Central Street, Natick on Friday, September 9, 2022, at 10:00 AM.

Interment will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, 180 Pond St., Natick.
