FRAMINGHAM – Framingham High Principal Carolyn Banach announced today, July 27, she will be “on intermittent Family Medical Leave beginning August 31.
“This means that there will be days or part of days where I will be out of the building. When I am not in the building Dr. Gerade, who currently serves as the PreK-12 Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, will assume responsibility for the day to day operations of the building with the support of the administrative team. Gerade was the Director of High School Curriculum at Danvers High School as well as serving as an Assistant Principal and Principal at the middle school level, prior to coming to Framingham Public Schools. She began her teaching career as a social studies teacher at Lawrence International High School (INT) on the Lawrence High School campus.
“Both Dr. Gerade and I are committed to the work occurring at FHS as well as consistent and transparent communication and look forward to our continued collaborations that support excellence in academic achievement and social and emotional learning for all students,” wrote Principal Banach in an email.
Framingham High’s Associate Principal retired at the end of the 2021-2022 school year. The district made the decision not to replace him but to add a fifth vice principal.
