ASHLAND – For the second consecutive year, U.S. News & World Report has ranked Ashland High among the top 50 high schools in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Last year Ashland High was ranked #46 in Massachusetts and again this year, Ashland is #46.
Ashland was ranked 1,056 nationally, up from 1,052 in 2021.
The high school has a 14-1 student-teacher ratio, with 805 students, according to the magazine. That is down from 15 to 1 last year.

“Ashland High is ranked 46th within Massachusetts. Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® coursework and exams. The AP® participation rate at Ashland High is 55%. The total minority enrollment is 32% ,” wrote US News & World Report.
Minority students increased from 28% to 32%.
The magazine said “schools are ranked on their performance on state-required tests, graduation and how well they prepare students for college.”
Lexington High is the highest ranked – non testing public high school – at fourth.
