The Massachusetts Department of Public Health is reporting a total of 41,199 positive cases since the pandemic began, as of April 21.
Really important for people to understand what is at stake, said Gov. Baker.
“Doing it wrong could create more hardship in the long run,” said the Governor.
“We are in this together Massachusetts,” said Gov. Baker. “We will come out of this stronger.”
As of today at 4 p.m., the state has tested 175,372
The Commonwealth announced 152 new deaths from COVID-19 today, April 21.
That brings the total since the pandemic began to 1,961 deaths.

Middlesex County gas the most cases at 9,621. In comparison, Plymouth County only has 3,043 cases.
Framingham has the most cases in MetroWest, at 374 cases,as of Tuesday at noon.
The United States now has the post confirmed cases worldwide at 814,587, as April 21 at 3:30 p.m.
Worldwide, there are more than 2.54 million confirmed cases.

The Centers for Disease Control is reporting 41,758 deaths as of noon on April 20.
The U,S. is leading the world in COVID-19 deaths., Italy is second with 24,648 deaths.
Of the 41,758 deaths in the United States, 14,604 are from New York.

The CDC recommended Americans were cloth masks in public.
It is important for residents to continue to practice social distancing.
Last month, the Governor said anyone entering the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is asked to self-quarantine for 14 days.
The Governor extended his order for non-essential businesses to close or operate remotely until May 4. he said he would have an update on this order soon.

The Governor announced a new coronavirus alert system this week that will let residents get updates from state officials sent directly to their cell phones. Text COVIDMA to 888-777 to sign up. The state has added a Spanish language component.
