MARLBOROUGH – The City of Marlborough saw a 37.9% increase COVID-19 cases over the weekend.

On Friday, April 10, the City reported 124 cases.

Today, April 13, the City is reporting 171 cases,

The City of Marlborough today, April 10, reported 55 individual have recovered from COVID-19, for a total of 114 active cases.

Two individuals in the City of Marlborough have died from COVID-19, since the pandemic began.

Neighboring Framingham has 251 cases, the most in MetroWest.

The Governor said the surge in cases could come between April 10-April 20.

The Commonwealth reported 88 new deaths today, bringing the total in the Commonwealth to 844 cases.

The United States now has the post confirmed cases worldwide at 572.169, as today, April 13.

Worldwide, there are more than 1.9 million confirmed cases.

Governor Baker said the medical forecast is for as many as 172,000 cases in Massachusetts.

One reason for the high rate is that the Baker-Polito administration has decided to do aggressive testing at senior living facilities, using the National Guard.
