FRAMINGHAM – Framingham Police have confirmed that a body has been pulled from Learned Pond this afternoon, January 11.

Framingham Police Lt. Rachel Mickens said it was a male. No age or identify was released by police.

Lt. Mickens said she could not say anything else at this time.

The body was found just before 1 p.m., according to first responders.

It was still an active scene still at 3 p.m..

It is an active investigation.

The state Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene this afternoon.

The Middlesex County District Attorney’s office is investigating, along with Framingham Police.

Police could not say if the body of the male adult was the man police said was missing since November.

Temperatures today are a high of about 12 degrees, with a wind chill as low as minus 15.

The pond was partially frozen today, but the temperature had been above 32 degrees on January 10.

Framingham Fire Chief Michael Dutcher said the department’s dive team was not activated.

The chief said the firefighters in the rescue unit did put on their cold water gear and did assist with the recovery of the body, close to shore.
