FRAMINGHAM – Brian Gilligan won the 26th Annual Framingham Turkey Classic on Thanksgiving morning. His winning time for the 3.1 mile race was 16:09 minutes.
Ali Beling was the top female finisher in 20:39 minutes. She was 27th overall out of the 854 individuals who crossed the finish line.
The race is typically capped at 1,000, but there were several walk-in registrants on Wednesday, the day before the race.
Matthew Zanchi finished second overall in 16:20 minutes.

Framingham High & Providence College graduate Drew Harrod took third overall in 17:01 minutes.
Keefe Tech cross-country coach Jeff Beling was fourth overall in 17:23 minutes.
Framingham High senior Jordan Spector was fifth overall in 17:41 minutes.
Framingham High cross-country coach Ed Crowley was 15th overall in 18.57 minutes.

Massachusetts cross-country champion and Framingham High junior Sam Burgess did not run the annual Thanksgiving 5K, as he was competing in the Eastern regional this weekend. Older brother Ben, a UMass Amherst runner, also did not run but sister Dartmouth student Abby Burgess, 18, did run and finished in 22:19 minutes. Mom Lisa Burgess and sister Maddie Burgess also ran the annual Thanksgiving event.
Framingham Mayor-elect Charlie Sisitsky attended the event with his wife to cheer on several family members including son Adam, who finished 20th overall in 19:32 minutes.
Several Framingham firefighters and police officers ran the race, as the annual 5K is run by the Framingham Police Association and the Framingham Firefighters Union. The Turkey Classic raises funds for Veterans Outreach Center – MetroWest and other local charities.
