1 The 26th annual Turkey Classic 5K road race will be held Thanksgiving morning 8 a.m. It starts and ends at the Memorial Building, so expect detours in that area as they are hundreds of runners.

Today, runners can pick up their shirt and bib numbers at the Framingham Elks lodge on Union Avenue at 1 p.m.

2. Yesterday, a pep rally was held at Bowditch Field for the Framingham High football team.

There will be no bonfire tonight at Bowditch.

The 116th meeting between Framingham High and Natick High is Thursday at Bowditch Field. Seniors will be honored at 9:15 a.m. Kick off at 10 a.m.

Tickets for the Framingham vs Natick football game are being sold online. There will be no cash tickets sales at the gate.

3. The Framingham City Council voted last night 5-4 to set Tuesday, December 28 as a special election for the District 3 City Council seat. Current councilor Adam Steiner and challenger Mary Kate Feeney ended in a 997-997 tie, after a recount.

Steiner, the current Vice Chair of the City Council, yesterday filed a suit against the city challenging the official election results and seeking an injunction to stop the special election.

4. According to the Mayor’s publicly posted schedule, Mayor Yvonne Spicer has no public events today.

5. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. The Curtis Family will not hold a sit down meal again this year due to the ongoing pandemic, but will deliver more than 1,000 meals to those in need. Volunteers are still needed to deliver meals.
