FRAMINGHAM – Cushing Memorial Park is open for passive play, like walking around the park, explained Framingham Police Chief Steven Trask.
He said one of his officers was asked to clear out the skate park and also cleared out Cushing Memorial Park. It was a mistake, said Chief Trask.
Multiple residents notified SOURCE that police showed up at Cushing Memorial Park this afternoon and asked them to leave the park. Residents said a horn was used to announce the park was closed.
Residents and families can still using Cushing Memorial Park but must practice social distancing.

Framingham Parks and Recreation Department had closed the Skatepark, ball fields, playgrounds, courts, and the track at Bowditch Field last month, during this coronavirus pandemic.
Bowditch Track was also deemed closed during the pandemic.
