NATICK – John Patrick Goodman, 51, of Natick, known to most as “JP” or simply “J,” passed away in Framingham on Friday June 4, 2021.
Son of Marcia (Lamson) Goodman-Blair of Amesbury, and the late John P. “Peter” Goodman. Stepson of Paul Blair of Amesbury. Brother of Jeremy Goodman and his husband David DeMelo of Natick, and Alicia Bushey and her husband Robert of Danvers. Uncle of Katelyn Bushey of Danvers.
JP was a 1987 graduate of Natick High School.
He had many jobs in different fields over the years, but his true passions lay in music, art and bikes. Whether he was sketching what he saw in his mind’s eye or writing or playing music, his talents as an artist always shone through.
An avid guitarist, he was formerly a member of the band Controlled Aggression. Building and restoring bicycles for himself or others was one of the ways in which he found his Zen.
He lived in Hawaii for several years and loved it there before eventually finding his way home to Massachusetts.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visiting hours in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, Natick on Tuesday June 15, 2021 from 4-7 p.m. Burial will be private.
