FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham Public School district has reported its 121st case in the 2020-21 academic school year.

Yesterday, elementary school students returned to full-time in-person classroom education

About 85% of students will be returning in grades K-5.

The latest case was reported at Walsh Middle School on Monday.

The district does not list if cases are teachers, staff, or students in the dashboard, or when the district sends emails to staff or families.

Last week, the state said the Framingham Public School district had the fifth highest COVID cases among staff & students in the Commonwealth.

Framingham High School leads the district with 38 cases. A half dozen new cases of the virus were reported on April 3 at Framingham High.

Fuller Middle School is second in the district with 10 cases, and Walsh Middle School is third with 9 cases, now.

A total of 14 cases have been reported in the school district in April.

In March, 59 cases were reported.

The district has been testing staff weekly.

Students are being testing via pooled testing.

SOURCE requested pooled testing participation rates for the district and by school.

Earlier this month, the administration provided the total district participation rate by students. It is 46%. Pooled testing is not for remote students.

As of April 1, the rate had increased to 56%.
