Framingham Man, 21, Charged With OUI Following Saturday Crash

FRAMINGHAM – Framingham Police arrested a Framingham man on multiple charges, including operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol after a Saturday night crash.

Police arrested at Maple and State streets at 7:18 p.m. on March 27, Zachary K. Laidlaw, 21, of 320 Franklin Street in Framingham.

Police received a call of a “erratic operator,” said Framingham Police spokesperson Sgt. Rachel Mickens.

A Framingham State University police officers saw a motor vehicle “go by at high rate of speed: from Franklin Street towards maple Street, explained Sgt. Mickens.

The vehicle crashed taking the corner at Maple & State streets.

The vehicle ended up “on wrong side of road,” said Sgt. Mickens.

Framingham Police Officers arrived on scene shortly afterwards, found the operator to be impaired,” said Sgt. Mickens.

Laidlaw was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and failure to stay within marked lanes.

No one was injured in the crash, including the vehicle’s passenger.
