FRAMINGHAM – Keefe Technical High School is advancing towards an academic hybrid model starting April 5, announced its Superintendent Jonathan Evans today, March 10.
“On Monday, March 8 we began our second cycle of the 25% Hybrid Model,” said Evans in an email to families. “It has been incredible having students back with us, and we have now had a chance to work with every grade level on site. In the past two weeks, we have also included a cohort of higher needs students for in-person support during the academic week. We are now preparing to take our next step to significantly expand in-person learning.”

Evans said on April, 5, the regional vocational high school would be “incorporating in-person academic instruction into our Hybrid Model. The next step will include an alphabetical split for academic classes that will allow students to learn in-person for two days every academic week. In this next phase, we will be using 6 feet of distancing in all classrooms. CTE instruction will remain as it is now. The result is that, as of April 5th, we will have the chance to work with approximately half of our students on site each day.”
The school is holding a survey for families for transportation needs. The high school has students from Framingham, Ashland, natick, Holliston & Hopkinton.

Supt Evans said a parents meeting would be scheduled soon to answer questions.
“We will also be carefully monitoring any new guidance regarding high school enrollment to be sure we continue to meet expectations set forth by the State,” said Supt. Evans. “Thank you for your support during this challenging time. We are looking forward to seeing more of our students back with us soon.”
